Daily Prayer

Prayer Song!

There are many different ways to pray. For many people, listening to a Music helps them feel closer to God. We will take time now to listen to his worship song by Fr Rob Galea.

Begin with the Sign of the Cross
In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Close your eyes and take 3 deep breaths, breathing in and out three times

  • use words that I know have the ‘ar’ digraph to brainstorm other words with the same digraph.

  1. View the text, Clark the Shark. As you are viewing the story, identify pairs of words that rhyme. Record them on a piece of paper.

  2. Think of other words you know that rhyme with the words from the story. Make lists of the rhyming words.

  3. Use the lists of rhyming words to write a short rhyme or some silly sentences.

  • Listen to the things Clark says to himself to stay cool. Which words sound the same at the end?


Activity too easy?

  • Can you make up a short rhyme about school that makes sense just like Clark did? For example: When the teacher’s talking, don’t go walking.

  • record my combination using an addition number sentence

  • count my coins using 5s, 10s or 20s.
