  • order the objects from shortest to longest

  • measure each object with informal units with no gaps or overlaps

  • explain how I know they are in order of length.

Ordering Lengths

  • Find three different objects at home and order them from shortest to longest. Measure each item using a uniform informal unit such as paper clips, match sticks, lego bricks ( same size) , etc.


  • Draw a picture and record the lengths and what you used to measure.


  • Explain what you noticed.
