These learning activities are designed to be completed in sequence beginning on Monday

Daily Prayer

A prayer for the Earth!

Begin with the Sign of the Cross

In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

Close your eyes and take 3 deep breaths, breathing in and out three times


Watch this video below!


Conclude with the sign of the cross.


Note: Please use the whole prayer or parts of it to suit your child’s age and need

Religious Education

Learning Intention

We are learning how Christians are inspired to live according to the teachings of Jesus.


Success Criteria

I will know I am successful when I:

  • have identified examples of Jesus’ kind actions

  • can make links from the Scripture stories to my own life

In Scripture we can read a number of stories in which Jesus saw a person in some kind of need and connected with them through some act of kindness.

  1. Open the attached table - print, if needed.

  2. Read the scripture references

  3. Fill out the missing information in the table

  • can explore and identify descriptive language the author has used and identify how it helped me to connect to the text

  • can think about what I am visualising as I read and how this helps me to understand the text.

  • Open the Google slides (on the right) and follow the written and audio prompts as you listen to the story and think about the text.

  • Complete Independent Reading as outlined on the slides.

  • Complete Independent Writing as outlined on the slides.

  • Choose the text on one whole page, instead of one of the sentences, and draw what you are visualising.

Sit Spots

Imagine your teachers are working out sit spots for the grade when you gather together.

Each student needs a spot, and it will need to be arranged in an array if possible.

There are 96 children in the grade.

Use your multiplication facts to plan ALL the ways the teachers could arrange the spots into arrays.

Write the matching multiplication and division facts.

  • What if there were 6 spots in each row?


Activity too easy?

  • If 96 makes an array, which numbers do not make arrays? How do you know?
