We are learning that Jesus showed us how God wants us to live.

ES1 Jesus- demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of Jesus as the incarnate Son of God who loves us and invites us to grow in relationship with him.

There are many stories of Jesus helping people. There are also stories about Mary helping people too. Joseph also cared for others. The Holy Family show us how to be a good friend.

  3. Draw a picture of how you could be a good friend at your new school

  4. Label each person

Writing Response - The Magic Hat


  • Open the Google slides (on the right) and follow the written and audio prompts as you listen to the story and think about the text.

  • Read beautiful stories every day for enjoyment.


NB. for Parents - Encourage your child to draw, talk and 'write' every day. Beginning writing might look like a picture, scribbly marks, single letters or even some words including their own name. Accept all attempts at writing and encourage your child to tell you about their pictures and writing.

Questions to support my thinking

Activity too hard?

  • Find things in your house that rhyme. Recite the first part of the rhyme - “Oh, the magic hat, the magic hat!

It moved like this, it moved like that!.

Show Time

Here are the feeding times for some animals during the animal shows.


Make some o’clock times on a clock.

Draw the clock and write the time each animal is fed.


Write the days of the week in order. Choose one day of the week. Put the o'clock times in order for the day when each animal is fed for the animal shows.

Activity too hard?

  • Draw a clock.

  • Find different clocks around your house. Where are they?

  • Have someone at home make you a time on a clock and copy their time.


Activity too easy?

  • Can you make and draw some half past times?

  • What other times can you make?
