We are learning that the Church is a community that celebrates God’s love


Success Criteria

I will know I am successful when I:


  • can name the ways the Church celebrates God’s love

  • can identify ways to communicate God’s love

ES1 Church- demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of the Church as a special community described as God’s family.

  1. Look at the pictures showing how the Church lives out the love of God after listening to God’s word and sharing a meal

  2. Pick one image and make a plan to show God’s love in a similar way. You can choose to record your plan by:

  • drawing

  • writing

  • voice recording or

  • video recording

Frankie the Numbat is getting weighed.


He has about the same mass (or the same weight) as a can of soup.


Find a can in your pantry. Lift it to feel how heavy it is.

Can you find some other objects that feel like they have about the same mass (or weight) as a can?


Hold the can in one hand and the object in the other hand to compare and check.

Draw and write about what you find.
