A prayer space is a place in a room that helps you to focus when you pray.


  1. Look at the pictures of prayer spaces

  2. Create a prayer space of your own and take a photo or draw it. Label the items on your prayer space


You might like to listen to the song as you create your prayer space

Creative Response - Mr McGee

  • Open the Google slides (on the right) and follow the written and audio prompts as you listen to and think about the text.

  • Read beautiful stories every day for enjoyment.


NB. for Parents - Encourage your child to draw, talk and 'write' every day. Beginning writing might look like a picture, scribbly marks, single letters or even some words including their own name. Accept all attempts at writing and encourage your child to tell you about their pictures and writing

Questions to support my thinking

Activity too hard?

  • Use the Mr McGee puppet to tell about things that happened to Mr McGee.


Activity too easy?

  • Make up your story about Mr McGee using rhyming words.

Penguins


Listen to the story 365 Penguins.


Look at the calendar for February. Choose any day of the month you like. How many penguins arrived on that day?


How many different ways could the penguins be arranged on your chosen day?


Draw some ways to organise the penguins so that it is easy to look and see how many there are.


Which way would Dad like the most? Why do you think this?

Activity too hard?

  • Choose a day on the calendar between the 6th February and the 12th February.


Activity too easy?

  • Choose two days on the calendar and add the number of penguins that arrived together. What are the ways this many penguins could be arranged so that you can easily prove how many there are?
